It’s hard to find the perfect watch band to go with my Subaru Outback that’s covered in stickers and my collection of cargo shorts… but this seemed to fit the bill. A watch band that makes people think “that woman would help me change my tire in the rain”.Anyway, the band is massive, but that’s okay, I know what I was getting myself into. My husband asked me what the little cords were for. I told him to mind his business, but that I assume I could use that part of the watch band to zip line from a burning building if the occasion ever arose.I was really loving the concept of all the adventures I would be having with this watch band. But then it really started digging into my wrist. I tried to ignore it, but it started to give me almost a little blister.I set it aside for now, but I’m going to give it another try in the future and see if we can overcome this issue.
Watch bands are so subjective. I will separate my opinions from the design critique.This is an outdoorsy band that echoes the use of crisscrossed bungee line on a backpack. One side of the band is nylon cloth while the entire other side is the loop part of hook and loop with the hook section being near the end. Instead of feeding the band back through the mount, which would have been ridiculously hard because of the construction, there is a short pigtail segment with a metal loop on the end which the longer portion feeds through. All in all, it seems well built and both the nylon and hook and loop feel nice.Now, my very subjective opinion. This will sound counterintuitive, but this very chunky band would be better for someone with a thinner wrist than mine. For me, I need to push some of the cord and extra layers of nylon through the above mentioned metal loop to get it on and off. I also end up with a reaaaaaaly large section of the black hook and loop exposed rather than the green nylon. These are my personal opinions, and you may not think they are valid, which is why I tried to separate them.Summary: well built, not my favorite for purely aesthetic reasons.
Looks great on my wrist very tough and sturdy the Velcro holds up nicely much better than the rubber or bands that come with the watch those made my wrist break out in a bad rash no issues with this band at all great price great item well worth the $$$$ spent
The band quality is nice but the problem for me is since the tail end of the band is so thick from the crisscross rope design it is to hard to fold over and get a good fit. The band is just a little too small for my wrist, I normally wear medium/large bands so I'm guessing this one would be considered a small.
